About this blog

I have a blog written in Finnish in which I write articles about the origins of my family. The part of the blog which contains findings about my paternal ancestors that DNA tests has brought to light has aroused some interest among foreigners outside my family, too. For that reason I have opened this blog in English in order to make some of my articles available to a wider audience. Thanks to Hannu Pesola for helping in translation. Special thanks to Les Fredrickson who has made this possible by revising my draft translation to refined English.

  1. My recent Big Y test at FTDNA resulted in Baaa. S21184+, S19290+ (Z220/Z210>ZZ40>S21184>S19290) I have traced back to a 6th Great Grandfather in Denmark. I found your blog through a Google search. I wonder if we are related?

  2. Yes we are relatives, but very distant. It seems that our Most Recent Common Ancestor have lived about 3000 years ago. If you are interested of my private Haplotree for S19290 (you are also included) so contact me through Facebook.

  3. Nice blog. I got the link from Anthrogenica. I am Ric there, French guy, DF27>Z209>CTS4065, not too far from yours.

  4. Thanks for your blog and to your friend Les Fredrickson for assisting with the English. I just gave your post a "bump" over at Anthrogenica - "S21184 has something to tell us"

  5. There are another 3 kits from Sweden possibly in your cluster. Do you know how we could arrange to get these confirmed?

    1. Oh, and I don't mind funding the cost for SNP packs or SNP test at FTDNA.
